The official data on tourism in Puglia have arrived July 2025, and allow us to take stock of the season. Contrary to those who spoke of drops of -70% or -80%, the numbers tell a completely different story: in Puglia, July was a month of substantial stability, with a slight overall increase in attendance (+ 2,88%) compared to last year.
Vieste always at the top in summer
Vieste confirms itself once again queen of the Apulian summer, with 637.316 visitors in July (+1,1% compared to 2024). This result strengthens the region's leadership among seaside destinations.

Bari is growing at a record rate
If Vieste remains queen of the summer, the real surprise is Bari, which thanks to the airport and the connections has transformed into an increasingly strong tourist hub. In July it exceeded 233 thousand presences, with a jump of +16,8% compared to 2024.
A close fight for the title of queen of tourism
With the arrival of August, Vieste will certainly strengthen its lead, but Bari will continue to threaten the seaside resorts even in autumn, when the hinterland and the cities of art will maintain significant numbers.
Meanwhile, July confirms that Vieste remains the star of the Puglia summer., a point of reference for thousands of Italian and foreign tourists.
