Thanks to the active participation of TurismoVieste.it readers, the study was able to count on a significant number of responses that made it possible to carry out an in-depth analysis of the opinions of those who choose Vieste as their holiday destination. Positive results confirming the excellence of Vieste

The survey results confirm that Vieste remains a destination of excellence, with an average rating of 4,5 out of 5 on the General Experience. This score is a clear signal of the quality of the experiences offered and the ability to maintain high tourism standards over time. Compared to previous years, the average scores have remained stable, suggesting coherence in the city's tourism offering.

A particularly significant figure is the high percentage of visitors who declare themselves ready to return to Vieste: 85,4% of participants expressed their intention to repeat their experience, an increase compared to the 83,4% recorded in 2023. Only 3.6% declared they did not want to return.

Beaches and sea: the undisputed protagonists of Vieste tourism

It is no surprise that Vieste's beaches and sea remain the main attractions for over 90% of visitors, further cementing Vieste's reputation as one of the most popular seaside destinations in the Mediterranean. Other popular spots include nearby towns such as Peschici, the Tremiti Islands and the Umbra Forest, which offer further opportunities for discovery and adventure.

Positive experience especially in low season

An interesting aspect that emerged from the study is the greater appreciation of tourists during the low season. While summer remains the peak period, visitors who choose to stay in Vieste in the less crowded months have also shown a growing appreciation for the city's cultural and gastronomic offerings. During these periods, in addition to relaxing on the beaches, tourists dedicate themselves more to exploring the natural beauty and local traditions, demonstrating Vieste's potential as a year-round destination.
This diversification of preferences in the low season highlights an important opportunity for the deseasonalization of tourism in Vieste, making the city attractive even beyond the classic summer months.

A national and international tourism in continuous evolution

The study “Vieste and its guests 2024” highlighted a strong presence of Italian tourists, especially from Puglia, Campania and Lombardy. However, international tourism also maintains excellent performances, with Germany confirming itself as the main foreign market, followed by Switzerland, Austria and France.

Foreign visitors expressed a higher overall satisfaction than Italian tourists, especially with regard to hospitality and gastronomy, areas in which Vieste seems to excel according to the judgment of international guests. This data underlines the potential of Vieste as a significant destination not only at a national but also international level.
