San Lorenzo beach is the first beach on the north side of the center of Vieste, it is about 1500 meters long and in some places more than a hundred meters wide. It is probably the most frequented beach by the people of Vieste, it has a sandy seabed and due to the seabed which slopes very slowly it is perfect for children. Thanks to the enormous depth of the beach it is very easy to find a place and let children play without disturbing other swimmers.
There are many equipped beach establishments and here it is also possible to play beach volleyball and beach soccer at the special facilities managed by the beaches, also equipped with facilities for the entertainment of the little ones. This beach is close to the tourist port and a short walk from the center of Vieste.
It owes its name to the Church of San Lorenzo, a small rural church located on top of a small hill, clearly visible north of the beach.
