The Possible Book in Vieste 2024, Vieste. Here is the program

From 23 to 27 July 2024, Vieste will host the prestigious "Il Libro Possibile" festival, an event that will transform Marina Piccola into an important center of culture and debate. Organized by the Il Libro Possibile Cultural Association, the festival is one of main events of the Viestana summer, offering a program full of meetings with authors, book presentations and discussions on current issues.

Tuesday July 23

  • 20:30 – “The more they lock us up, the stronger we become. Voices of Iranian women fighting for freedom" with Taghi Rahmani and Farian Sabahi, presented by Stefania Pinna.
  • 22:00 – “Love letters… the wind will take us away” with Cosimo Damiano Damato, Simona Molinari, and Egidio Marchitelli, presented by Giorgia Messa.

Wednesday July 24th

  • 20:00 – “Liguria, land of groans and beauty. Ironic-sentimental guide” by Dario Vergassola, presented by Mauro Pulpito.
  • 20:40 – “Capocracy. If presidentialism will send us to hell" by Michele Ainis and Luca Sommi, with the presentation of "The most beautiful. Why defend the Constitution”.
  • 21:20 – “The school of talents” with Giuseppe Valditara, presented by Stefania Pinna.
  • 21:50 – “Symphony of Space” with Walter Villadei, presented by Marta Meli.
  • 22:20 – “Between fiction and literature: The violence of the vanquished” by Petros Markaris and “I'm happy, where did I go wrong?” by Diego De Silva.

Thursday July 25th

  • 21:00 – “Justice. Last Stand. From Tangentopoli to the collapse of the judiciary” by Carlo Nordio, with the intervention of Francesco Paolo Sisto.
  • 21:30 – Interview with Carlo Nordio, presented by Stefania Pinna.
  • 21:50 - "Only the truth. I swear. Clown artist journalists” by Antonio Padellaro, with the intervention of Augusto Minzolini, presented by Stefania Pinna.
  • 22:30 – “Ukraine Palestine. State terrorism in international relations” with Alessandro Orsini, introduced by Giorgia Messa.

Friday July 26th

Automatic Translation in Real Time

Throughout the festival, a real-time machine translation service will be available for all events. Users will be able to follow the translation into the chosen language directly on their mobile phone, reading the text or listening to the audio version, simply by scanning the QR code available on site.
