Max Gazzè, author of the song “The legend of Cristalda and Pizzomunno” will open its 2018 tour in Vieste right at the foot of the Vieste monolith on July 31st.
In the concert the singer-songwriter will be accompanied by a symphony orchestra, while in the days preceding the event he will be honored by the municipal administration with honorary citizenship.
The beach of Vieste will be transformed into an arena to allow thousands of people to watch this show. Several sectors are foreseen, with ticket prices ranging from 15 to 35 euros.
The legend of Pizzomunno is centered on the love relationship between the fisherman from Vieste and his beloved Cristalda, as opposed to the legendary figure of the mermaid, who was born in the Mediterranean area and who since the time of Greek mythology represents the personification of danger of the sea.
The song dedicated to the legend of Pizzomunno was brought to the Sanremo Festival 2018, reaching 6th place in the general classification and receiving numerous awards from critics who particularly appreciated the poetics of Max Gazzè. The single is included in the 2018 album "Alchemaya".
