Pizzomunno and its Australian relative

Along the coast of the Gargano you can admire some stacks, rocky cliffs born thanks to the erosive action of the waves and the wind. The most famous are those near Zagare Bay and that of the Pizzomunno.

Pizzomunno is right at the base of the rock ridge on which the historic center of Vieste . This stack has become one of the symbols of the city thanks also to the romantic legend that sees it as the protagonist.

However, not everyone knows that Pizzomunno has a "relative" in Australia. In Port Campbell National Park, along the "Great Ocean Road" which runs along the south coast of Australia, we find the "12 Apostles" (in English The Twelve Apostles) a series of limestone stacks that have become a popular tourist attraction .
The largest stack is really very similar to our Pizzomunno, almost as if it were a relative who emigrated to Australia!

Unfortunately over the years several "Apostles" have succumbed to the forces of the winds of erosion: the latter continues to sculpt the bases of the stacks with a speed of two centimeters a year. Today there are 8 stacks.
Anyone wishing to travel to Australia to admire the "12 apostles" or other tourist attractions in the country must request a visa Australia before departure. This visa for Australia is valid for 12 months and allows the holder to make an unlimited number of trips to the country. Each stay in the country, however, can last a maximum of 3 months.
