For the now traditional Fanoja of San Giuseppe in Vieste, the historical re-enactment of the traditional bonfire (Fanoja) lit in the nights close to the feast of San Giuseppe, on the evening of March 17 in the splendid setting of Marina Piccola, the main guest will be O'Zulù Luca Persico, historic frontman of the partepei 99 Posse, one of the symbolic groups of the Italian underground and electronic scene between the 90s and the beginning of the century who will brighten the evening with a DJ set. On the evening of March 18, however, there will be another Neapolitan artist, Enzo Avitabile, together with the Bottari di Portico & Black Tarantella Band.
During the 2 days there will also be many support groups from all over Italy, such as Cico and No Fang.
Thus the contaminations and evolutions of this traditional festival re-proposed by the Pizzeche Muzzeche Vieste International Folk Group continue, a festival that for some years has been one of the most important moments for Vieste. Link to the official event page.
The event is not to be missed to relive together the beauty of their roots, the emotions of their past, with songs, music and dances.
