The CIS, the identification code for non-hotel facilities in Puglia, arrives on 1st July. Structures such as holiday homes, B&Bs and tourist villages will have to display the registration number in the register of Apulian structures on their websites and advertisements.
The CIS – Facility Identification Code consists of 19 alphanumeric characters. Regional Law 57/2018 obliges all recipients to report the CIS in all written or printed or digital media used for the purpose of advertising, promotion or marketing of the accommodation offer
It will be good practice, for those who intend to book a Pugliese structure, to check for the presence of this code which could help us avoid nasty surprises, such as scams or illegal practices.
