A small paradise surrounded by greenery, the bay of San Felice offers a pretty little beach (about 100 meters wide) with shallow sandy bottom.
To complete the beauty of the whole the beautiful natural arch that makes the surrounding landscape truly enchanting. 8 km south of Vieste, it can be reached through the structure of the same name or by sea.
The architect, as well as the sea caves, is the result of the incessant action that water and wind have imprinted on the karst rock of the Gargano over the centuries.
The arch of San Felice can be admired from the panoramic point of Torre San Felice, reachable by car, or by sea, even during excursions to the caves.
How to get there and access the bay and arch of San Felice
The bay of San Felice is located about 8 km south of the center of Vieste. From the ground you can access the path that leads to the beach from the Vieste-Mattinata coast road, about 300 meters (north) of the San Felice tower, where there is a panoramic clearing from which to admire the beautiful arch of the same name, or go through the accommodation by renting umbrellas and sunbeds.
To reach the arch from the beach, however, the best solution is by sea, with a boat or even a rented dinghy. We advise against swimming due to the currents and the copious number of boats that stop near the "architello" in the summer.
