The bay of Campi is located about 10 km south of Vieste and is surrounded by a beautiful Mediterranean landscape with Aleppo pines.
Here we find a beautiful pebble beach 500 meters long, with a deep seabed, while in the center of the bay there are also two islets. The beach is much appreciated by divers who make it a privileged destination for their dives.
Very often it is a stopping place for boats that offer guided tours of the sea caves , in fact, in the surroundings of the Baia di Campi there are also some of the most fascinating caves of the Gargano coast: the Calda cave, so called for the hot water springs, the Sfondata cave, with an upper opening where the Aleppo pines are reflected in the emerald waters, the Contrabbandieri cave (with a double exit to facilitate escapes) and the Campana Piccola cave.
How to get to Baia di Campi
The bay of fields can be reached, as well as by sea, thanks to a steep road (not suitable for small children and elderly people) that starts from the Sp53.
To get there by car you need to take the Sp53 towards Mattinata, you will find it about 10 km from Vieste, even if there are no car parks nearby.
